Ginger Jowell-Hayes, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on April 2, 2025 at the age of 67. Arrangements are under the direction of Wise Funeral Home in Bonham.
Ginger was born in Orange, Texas on October 22, 1957 to Warren and Alice Jowell. She will be remembered for her strength, outspokenness, resilience and unwavering dedication to her family.
Ginger's passions were cooking, gardening and spending time with her family; especially her husband and grandchildren. Ginger and husband, Michael "Mike" Hayes have been married 44 years and were best friends and true soul mates. Ginger was a dedicated member of The Living Word Church of God for over 35 years.
Ginger is survived by her loving husband, Mike Hayes, son Joshua Hayes of Ravenna, Texas. Brother, Kent Jowell and wife Trish of West Orange, Texas. Sister, Candy Adair of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Grandchildren Kianna and Payton Hayes of Bonham, Texas and Toni Merchant of Stayner Ontario, Canada.
Ginger is preceded in death by her parents Warren and Alice Jowell, brothers Ronnie and Mark Jowell, sister Gloria Dailey and son Tony Merchant.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Living Word Church of God at 12pm with visitation starting 1hr prior. Pastor Eddy Prince will officiate.
