Debra Gayle Wagner, fondly known as Deb/Debra-D/Granny/Deb-Deb/G-Granny, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025 at the age of 68, in Pearland, TX. She was born on February 19, 1957 in Minnesota to Lloyd Gilbert Wagner and Eva Ion Davis. She is survived by Linda Breuklander, her beloved partner of 12 years, and a host of family and friends.
Debra spent over 30 years with the Houston Chronicle as a printing pressman, eventually becoming lead press operator; with her crew winning several awards within the Hearst Corporation.
She was known for her golf swing, spoiling any and all kids, her giving hand, and loving heart. She was known to play a round or 10 of Skip-Bo, to always have the Astros game on the TV, and shying away from anything that wasn’t positive. If you were loved by Debra, you always had a cheerleader in your corner who would always have your back.
In her later years, her favorite things to do were to hang out at the lake and fish, watch the birds in her backyard, and spoiling her teacup Yorkie, Louie.
Debra will be forever loved, remembered, and missed. Thank you, Heavenly Father for sharing Debra with us. You blessed Us for sure.
The memorial service honoring Debra’s life will be held at 4:00pm, Saturday, March 15th, 2025, at Peevey Funeral Home, 12440 Beamer Road, Houston, Texas 77089.
