Mickey Litton Gisclar

Mickey Litton Gisclar, a 1968 BCHS graduate, is married to Jackie Gisclar, Class of 1966, and has two children and five grandchildren. She has resided in Bridge City since 1964 and attended Stephen F. Austin University and Alvin Junior College’s court reporting school. Mickey became certified as a Certified Shorthand Reporter in 1983 and, from 1984, was employed as an Official Court Reporter in the 128th District Court of Orange County, Texas, and later In the 163rd District Court of Orange County, Texas until her retirement from Orange County in 2013. At that time, she worked as a freelance court reporter and for the Child Protective Services Cluster Court until 2022. She is a Past President of the Beaumont Court Reporters Association, served on the Board of Directors of the CASA of the Sabine Neches Region, is currently Vice Chair of the Bridge City ISD Education Foundation, and is a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City.
Along with Sherry Litton Perdue and Jan Jenkins, she administers the H. N. Litton Memorial Scholarship. This past Spring, Mickey hosted the First H. N. Litton Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament, which is planned to become an annual event.
Her parents, Helene and H. N. Litton, were both long-time BCISD educators. As a BCHS graduate herself, the Big Red spirit runs deep, and promoting that spirit and supporting BCHS is of great importance to her.
