Kaitlyn Calhoun

Kaitlyn Calhoun, a dedicated educator and proud alumna of Bridge City High School, marks a decade of commitment to teaching and community service. A Cum Laude graduate of the Class of 2012, Kaitlyn made her mark early, actively engaging in school life as a four-year member of the Strutters, where she held officer positions during her Junior and Senior years. Furthermore, she served as a member of the Student Council and proudly took on the role of Senior Class President, showcasing her leadership and dedication to her peers.
    
Upon graduation, Kaitlyn pursued higher education at Lamar State College-Orange for one year before transferring to Lamar University, where she continued her passion for dance as a member of the Lamar University Dance Team. Her commitment to her studies paid off when she graduated with honors in 2016, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
  
Kaitlyn brings over a decade of teaching experience to her role as a Kindergarten teacher at Bridge City Elementary. She began her career in Port Arthur Independent School District and eventually returned to her roots in Bridge City ISD, where she inspires the next generation of learners.  

Now residing in Bridge City with her husband Jackson, their two children, James and Margot, and their beloved dog Molly, Kaitlyn is deeply embedded in her community, fostering a spirit of education and engagement. Her journey from student to teacher embodies her commitment to learning and service, making a lasting impact on both her students and the broader community.
