Emily Harness

Meet Emily Harness, a dedicated and passionate individual who has excelled in both her personal and professional life. Born and raised in Bridge City, Emily is a proud member of the graduating class of 2009, where she actively participated in various activities like volleyball, basketball, softball, cheerleading, golf, and the criminal justice club. It was during these formative years that Emily forged lasting friendships and cherished memories.

After receiving her associate in criminal justice degree from Lamar State College-Orange, Emily embarked on a successful career in law enforcement. Starting at the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office in 2012, she has since progressed to the role of Detective at the La Porte Police Department. While her primary focus is now on her children, Emily continues to serve as a reserve police officer.

Emily resides in League City with her husband, Michael Harness Jr., and their three beautiful children: Abby, Adalyn, and Owen. In her free time, she enjoys watching her daughters excel in softball and cherishing quality moments with her family. A devoted mother, a skilled detective, and a loving wife - Emily Harness embodies strength, compassion, and resilience.
