Bryan Ward

Bryan Ward is a distinguished alumnus of Bridge City High School.

Bryan Ward graduated from BCHS in 1981, where he was not only an accomplished athlete but also an esteemed member of the National Honor Society. His dedication and hard work during his high school years laid a strong foundation for his future successes. It is noteworthy that his parents, Larry and Carolyn Ward, worked for the BCISD community from the 1960s until 1996, instilling values of service and commitment in their son.

After completing his high school education, Bryan pursued higher learning at Lamar University, earning degrees in Economics and Accounting. His academic achievements further propelled him into the professional world, and in 1989, he moved to Dallas. Here, he embarked on a successful career in public accounting, where he dedicated five years, focusing primarily on the insurance sector.

In 1995, Bryan took a significant step forward in his career by joining Old American County Mutual Fire Insurance Company. Over the years, he held various prominent positions, including Auditor, Reinsurance Manager, Chief Financial Officer, and ultimately, Chief Executive Officer. His leadership and strategic vision played a crucial role in steering Old American to become the largest independent county mutual insurance company in Texas. This remarkable accomplishment showcases his expertise and dedication to the field.

In 2013, Bryan founded Apollo Managing General Agency, a Texas-based company specializing in personal automobile insurance. Under his stewardship, Apollo has expanded significantly and currently operates six subsidiaries offering diverse services, including claims handling, underwriting, and reinsurance brokerage. Today, the agency proudly employs approximately 200 individuals, contributing to the local economy and providing vital services to the community.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Bryan has a vibrant personal life. He enjoys traveling, playing golf, and building with Legos, which reflects his creative and adventurous spirit. He lives in Allen, Texas, with his wife, Melissa, and their two beloved dogs, creating a warm, family-oriented home.
